Dutch technology company, Philips, partners with Cellcard for smartphone sales and distribution.

Philips joins Cellcard roster of smartphone partnerships for its shop-in-shop (SIS) initiative.

Philips has been in global news recently for the launch of 2 new Android phones in India to cater to customers looking either for high-end performance capabilities (s358) or for a budget smartphone with reliable features (s309). While the (s358) is yet to be available in Cambodia, the s309 which is an Android 4.4 KitKat-based smartphone, powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor alongside 512MB of RAM will be available through the Cellcard Head Office at a special deal as part of the partnership.

The agreement between Philips and Cellcard will also allow Cellcard shops to carry other Philips smartphone devices for sale with exclusive deals only available in-store and for Cellcard subscribers.

Cellcard SIS initiative is part of its in-store revamp which will convert Cellcard branches to a one-stop-shop, allowing it to address all of its customers telecommunications needs and wants within the same space. The Cellcard Head Office in Sihanouk Blvd., will be the first to implement the SIS initiative serving as a pilot to the project. A roll out to all stores in key cities will follow in the coming months.
